Inspiring Story: “Maria’s Little Lamp”

Maria, a single mother in Spokane, used to choose between warm coats for her child and the monthly power bill. Through Linking Lives, she received essentials and a small grant that helped her start neighborhood yard work. Today, Maria is self-reliant—and a SALOM FUND volunteer—supporting families who face what she once did.

“I never thought I could help anyone—until someone helped me.” — Maria, 2025
